Other luxury stores, including Christian Dior, Burberry, Gucci, Cartier, Bulgari, IWC Schaffhausen and Rimowa, have also agreed to rent shops in the mall.

Asia’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani, is all set to launch his next major project in Mumbai – India’s largest luxury mall. It will be called the Jio World Plaza.

As per reports, many luxury brands have already leased multiple shops for their new stores. Amongst them is a leading high-end fashion brand owned by the world’s richest billionaire – Bernard Arnault.

The Jio World Plaza will be located in Mumbai’s one of the poshest areas – Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) area, an urban developmental space dominated by Reliance and the Ambani family. The billionaires have already established the Jio World Drive and Centre in the area.

Bernard Arnault, the world’s richest man, as per Forbes, with an estimated net worth of $211 billion (approximately Rs 17.55 lakh crore) has rented a unit in Mukesh Ambani’s Jio World Mall.

Bernard Arnault, the CEO and Chairman of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH). It is a French multinational conglomerate that specializes in luxury products. The premium brands LVMH’s portfolio boasts of include Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., Dior, Givenchy, Tag Heuer, and Bulgari, amongst many others.

As per the Hindustan Times, Louis Vuitton has leased four shops totalling 7,365 sq ft for its new store in Mukesh Ambani’s Jio World Plaza. It will be the biggest store in India, as per reports. LV will reportedly be spending a whopping Rs 40.50 lakh as monthly rent.

For the unversed, as of now, there are three Louis Vuitton stores in India — at the Taj Mahal Palace & Tower in Mumbai, UB City in Bangalore, and DLF Emporio in New Delhi.

Other luxury stores that are opening

According to Mint, Christian Dior has leased two units of 3,317 sq ft in Jio World Plaza for a monthly rent of Rs 21.56 lakh. The Louis Vuitton and Dior stores will reportedly be on the ground floor of the high-end mall. According to Reuters, Burberry, Gucci, Cartier, Bulgari, IWC Schaffhausen and Rimowa (first outlet in India) have also agreed to rent shops in Jio World Plaza, which is likely to open this year.
